With nearly two decades of leadership experience across Unilever and xto10x, Himanshu Kanwar has been appointed as the first non-family CEO of Vadilal Industries in India, effective September 29, 2025.

At xto10x, Himanshu served as GM – Growth and Marketing Practice, partnering with growth-stage startups across diverse sectors such as beauty, fintech, OTT platforms, and food delivery. He played a key role in building scalable product–market fit strategies, driving customer retention, and accelerating omnichannel expansion.

Prior to this, Himanshu spent over 15 years at Unilever across multiple leadership roles. As Global Brand Director – Hair Care, South Asia, he built equity for Dove, Tresemme, Clear, and Sunsilk, delivering breakthrough communication and product strategies. As General Manager – Ice Creams, he led Kwality Wall’s, Magnum, and Cornetto, growing the business from ₹750 Cr to ₹1100 Cr (~20% CAGR) and spearheading Unilever’s first F&B acquisition in two decades with Adityaa Milk Ice Creams. His earlier leadership roles in the Tea and Home Care (Rin) businesses saw him delivering consistent double-digit growth, award-winning campaigns, and category-defining innovations across South Asia.

Himanshu’s journey at Unilever began as Area Sales Manager in Tamil Nadu, where he delivered sustained market growth, before moving into analytics, brand management, and regional leadership roles. Over the years, he has been recognized with multiple awards, including Unilever’s Chairman’s Award and HUL Director’s Awards, for outstanding business delivery.

Now at Vadilal Industries, Himanshu is set to steer the company into its next chapter of growth, shaping brand strategy, consumer connect, and international expansion while strengthening its position as a global player in the ice cream and food sectors.
