Neeraj Nanda has charted a career with his communication skills. After pursuing his Master’s in Science (with organic drugs) and then an import-export course with post-graduation alongside a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in marketing, Nanda identified that an erratic personality can lose many clients while starting his career in the pharmaceutical industry as a Medical Representative.
“When it comes to personality enhancement, I observed that there are many medical practitioners whose personalities were erratic, and due to that, they were not able to attract business,” Nanda told Gujpreneur in an exclusive interview.
“Even the posture of teachers creates a bad impression on students. In my class, even a tea vendor and a barber are coming up,” he adds.
Donning Multiple Hats
Nanda has donned multiple hats in his career. In 2009, his communication skills earned him a role as a professor in the Baroda Institute of Management Studies (BIMS) — an institute primarily known for its courses in BBA and MBA. While serving the institution, he ventured into building his business with a vision to improve the all-around personality of an individual.
“I was there till 2022, but in between, I started my own firm as Business Boosters Enterprise, because I had an interest in giving non-technical training in 2013. I started giving training in various non-technical verticals,” he says.
Business Booster Enterprise utilises innovative training solutions for soft skill training, leadership development, team building, spoken English, and personality development.
Nanda has built a customised program to empower individuals with their skills in order to succeed at various roles. His techniques have further helped individuals to make better decisions at their respective capacities.
“When we talk about corporates, in each and every company we rehearse our training. It is totally customised (training programs). Whereas in the police department, the requirement is completely different,” Nanda said.
“Let us take the example of the traffic police; now these guys are dealing with society. They need patience, but on the other side they’ve a lot of stress. So, how to cope with the stress intelligently.” he explained.
Sailing Through Competitive Market
But maintaining a strong hold in his field has been a never-ending journey for Nanda, as it requires him to upgrade his skills from time to time.
“The market is very competitive. If you want to be in the market, you’ve to keep yourself updated. So, even for a single day, I’m not sitting idle,” Nanda said.
Thankfully, he has found a guiding light in his brother-in-law, who has a rich experience in animal husbandry and now works as a consultant after retirement, besides helping Nanda in forming various techniques for corporate training.
Creating Safety Initiative For Women
Moreover, the Vadodara-based entrepreneur has identified the need to promote women’s safety initiatives as a part of his business. He highlighted that there is no need of learning any traditional martial art techniques to combat miscreants. Interestingly, he will be providing this training free of cost due to his defence background.
“I have recently started a self-defence sector exclusively for women. In this section, there is nothing like judo, karate, etc. It is purely from whatever is in the purse. If you’ve lipstick or nail polish, you can kill someone. But those things should be done with true precautions. It shouldn’t be misused. I’ve given training to the She Team of Vadodara, and very soon, I’ll be training the Maharashtra Police also. Because of the defence background of my family, I’m giving this training free of cost,” Nanda said.
“We are also planning to drain out information (from the criminals) without torturing anyone. I’m also listed in the top 10 personality development trainers in India.
Nanda’s Philosophy
From the automobile sector to universities, Nanda’s techniques have garnered him praise for the value they bring to an individual. But he, truly, believes that the best feedback is when wants convert into demands and clients begin to reach out to him regularly for training and other programs.
