Introduction
There was a time when business conversations were rarely associated with women. But over the years, things have changed, and such stereotypes have been buried. Women today are not just participating in the business world — they are building it.
Some are creating brands from scratch. Some are introducing new ideas into traditional industries. And some are simply solving everyday problems with thoughtful solutions. International Women’s Day gives us a moment to pause and recognise these journeys. Not just the success, but the courage it takes to start something of your own.
At Gujpreneur, we explore businesses shaping Gujarat’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. This year, we thought of celebrating a day with women who are building something meaningful in their own way — from fashion and food to technology and creative services.
Different industries. Different ideas. But one common thread — belief in what they are building.
Let’s take a look at some inspiring women-led businesses from Gujarat.
Miez – Redefining Lingerie for Modern India

Building a lingerie brand in India is not always an easy path. It is a category where trust matters deeply, and conversations around it have traditionally stayed quiet.
Anandi Vekaria from Jamnagar noticed something most women experience. Comfortable bras looked plain and boring. The pretty ones? They felt uncomfortable all day. There was no option that offered both.
So she created Miez in 2025.
The brand focuses on three things: comfort, fit, and self-expression. Built with global-quality manufacturing standards. It was a new generation of Indian brand directly speaking to Gen Z and millennial consumers.
What makes Miez different?
- Modern designs with vibrant colors
- Size-inclusive range
- International quality standards
- Accessible pricing
Anandi believes what you wear closest to yourself should reflect who you are.
Building a lingerie brand in India isn’t easy. It’s deeply personal. Trust takes time. But younger consumers are ready for brands that speak honestly.
Sabrosa – A Kitchen Dream Turned Into Reality

Food carries emotion, culture, and memory. For Chef Surbhi Vasa, cooking has always been a way to share comfort through food. After spending nearly two decades teaching unique Jain foods with her YouTube channel, Food Mantra – now it’s time to dream big.
Opening a premium only Jain restaurant serving only authentic Jain cuisine. Many people doubted the idea. A restaurant with only Jain cuisine will not survive?
Sabrosa proved them wrong, it became Gujarat’s first premium Jain restaurant. Chef Surbhi calls it “soulful food.” Her belief was simple — if the food is good, people will come.
And they did.
With Sabrosa, she proved that belief and passion can turn a personal dream into a meaningful business.
HiSurat App – Your Digital Guide to Surat

Next up is a tech solution built for an entire city. Every city has countless places to explore, but finding the right information often takes time as data is scattered across multiple platforms.
Nishi Shah, founder, saw this gap and decided to simplify it with HiSurat App — a centralized digital guide for Surat.
Launched in December 2024, the app quickly gained traction. As it simplified the data like – recent events, best places to visit, must try and 250 such other categories added. Local businesses can list themselves and gain visibility. Residents get all city information in one place.
Think of it as Surat’s mini Google.
The app is well-organized and covers everything from restaurants to events. Planning a Surat visit? Download HiSurat first.
Social Cash Media – Storytelling with Purpose

From Gandhidham comes a creative agency with a clear mission.
Rajvi Dholakia runs Social Cash Media, helping brands in Kutch tell their stories authentically. With over 5 years in social media strategy, she understands how content builds connections.
Her approach is simple — creativity with purpose. Every post means something. Every campaign has a reason.
Social Cash Media proves that great marketing isn’t just about visibility. It’s about building brand loyalty through honest storytelling.
Amaltas Landscape – Designing with Nature

Some businesses grow from creativity. Others grow from responsibility toward nature. Aayushi Amaltas, also known as “Boss Lady,”is founder of Amaltas Landscape.
She’s an award-winning landscape designer who works with sustainability. Her designs respect nature while creating stunning outdoor spaces. Aayushi handles multiple projects independently.
Through Amaltas Landscapes, Aayushi continues to promote thoughtful, nature-friendly design.
Conclusion
Every business begins with an idea, but it takes courage to turn that idea into reality. The brands covered today are all women-owned brands. Different cities. Different industries. But the same determination to build something meaningful.
This is the motivation for women entrepreneurs out there, to step out and you have the power to do big. Because when women step forward to build, industries evolve.
