Scrapyard The Theatre is honored to stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine through its participation in the international film screening initiative by Filmlab Palestine. This powerful collaboration aims to create a space for awareness, empathy, and collective reflection through the medium of cinema. Over the course of the event, we will be screening five critically acclaimed films that capture the struggles, resilience, and enduring spirit of the Palestinian people.
Each film tells a deeply human story—of loss and resistance, of hope amid despair, and of the unwavering pursuit of justice and dignity. Through these cinematic narratives, we invite audiences to witness not only the pain but also the profound strength that defines the Palestinian experience.
Beyond the screen, Scrapyard The Theatre seeks to transform viewing into dialogue. After every screening, audiences will be encouraged to participate in open discussions and reading sessions featuring literature, essays, and poetry centered on Palestine. These conversations aim to deepen understanding, challenge indifference, and foster a sense of global solidarity.
At its core, this initiative is more than a cultural event—it is an act of conscience. It is a space where art becomes resistance, where silence is replaced by shared voices, and where empathy transforms into awareness and advocacy. Through film and conversation, Scrapyard The Theatre reaffirms its commitment to social justice, human rights, and the power of storytelling to unite and awaken.
