From watching his father and uncle voluntarily host events to hosting college events, Rutvik Pandya’s foray into the event industry began long before he realised.
“Actually, when I was in college, while pursuing my graduation and post-graduation at that time I used to host events,” the Skyz Event founder tells Gujpreneur in an exclusive interview.
“My father and uncle used to voluntarily manage marriage events in our family. So, as a child I used to look at it, and then we started Skyz Events after my post-graduation. 2013-14,” he adds.
Founded in 2013-14, Skyz Events began as a small, passion-driven venture. Over the years, it has transformed into a trusted name in the wedding and corporate events ecosystem. The roots laid during its formative years continue to shape the company’s ethos.

“The foundations that we had for Skyz Events—we have grown based on that,” Rutvik says.
His younger brother Manan Pandya joined two years later, strengthening the company’s operational backbone. Manan not only manages the event but also captures its beauty and vivid nature as a photographer.

Skyz Eventz Built On Commitment and Quality
In an industry where grandeur often overshadows reliability, Skyz Events took a different route. The brothers made a conscious decision to put ethics and deliverability first. “We had thought that we wouldn’t compromise on quality. In this field, commitment holds value. We should be able to execute what we have committed to the clients,” Rutvik says.
“I don’t want to give them big hopes and then not be able to execute it. We always stuck to it and our family also told us to execute plans ethically.”
This mindset became the company’s differentiator. Clients who experienced their work turned into repeat customers and ambassadors—exactly what the events industry thrives on.
“Word-of-mouth marketing works the most in our industry,” Rutvik explains. “Until you’ve experienced it yourself, you won’t give us that work. It’s the same in food; if you haven’t tasted it, then you won’t give it to us.”
Expanding Horizons From Ahmedabad to Pan-India
Over the last decade, Skyz Events has steadily evolved from a regional player to a pan-India events partner. Today, the company manages corporate events across the North-East, North India, and even South India, while its core wedding clientele comes from Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Delhi.

“Our clients are pan-India,” Rutvik says.
“A lot of our corporate clients come from the North-East, North and South India.”
This expanding footprint is a reflection of the trust built over years of consistent execution, ethical practices, and quality-focused delivery.
Understanding Indian Markets: One State at a Time
One of Skyz Events’ biggest strengths has been its ability to read regional preferences accurately.
“In our industry, profitability is based on the particular event,” Rutvik says.
“For example, in Gujarat, clients have different expectations compared to the North. So the profitability varies from event to event.”
A typical wedding the company handles could cost anywhere from ₹25 lakh to ₹3 crore, and sometimes even higher. Their margins also see a shift based on geography.
“I must admit that we have better margins in Gujarat,” he adds.
Even for high-value weddings in the ₹4–5 crore range, Skyz Events keeps its fee structure customer-friendly at ₹5–15 lakh, ensuring affordability while maintaining premium service.
A Fully Customised Wedding Ecosystem
Skyz Events today delivers far more than just planning. Their portfolio includes social gatherings, birthday parties, and a major vertical—outdoor catering, which they operate independently.
“In a wedding, it’s subject to the client’s choice whether they pick our photography and catering services or not,” Rutvik explains. “It is completely customised.”
This flexibility helps them cater to a diverse clientele with varying budgets, tastes, and regional cultural nuances—one of the keys to their nationwide success.
Where Marketing Meets Experience
Despite its expanding reach, the company maintains a minimalistic approach to digital marketing.
“For marketing, we use social media only to appear on it,” Rutvik laughs. “It doesn’t generate many enquiries, and even if it does, they don’t convert. It usually gets converted by mouth publicity.”
In a world where event companies flood Instagram with glossy reels and curated wedding highlights, Skyz Events continues to grow organically—powered by referrals, not algorithms.
Managing India’s Seasonal Wedding Markets
The team handles a heavy influx of wedding projects between November and the first week of March, the peak season across most Indian cities. Summers, however, change the dynamics.
“In summer, there are very few weddings in the cities, whereas in small towns and villages we get more inquiries,” Rutvik says.
Their ability to navigate these seasonal patterns gives them a steady business flow year-round.
A Pan-India Vision Rooted in Ahmedabad
Skyz Events’ rise reflects a blend of family values, strategic scaling, and steadfast commitment. From its humble Ahmedabad beginnings to now being a go-to partner for both corporate and luxury weddings across multiple states, the company stands as an example of how regional players can turn into national brands without losing their authenticity.
As the Indian wedding and events industry continues to evolve—with bigger budgets, destination events, and experiential decor—Sky Events is well on its way to becoming a fully pan-India product, built on expertise, ethics, and the trust of clients from every corner of the country.
