According to a report by NDTV Food, Bastian is soon going to open its restaurant in Gujarat’s GIFT City. Its size will be around 1 lakh sq. feet. Work for this is happening rapidly, and the place is almost occupied. In this area, mainly three things will open:
- F&B outlets
- Plazas
- Event space

This will open inside the food zone section of GIFT City Central Park. It is expected to start in mid-2026. If we talk about the benefit for Gujarati people, roughly 10,000 workforce will be needed, and a multi-crore investment will happen.
2. Ditas, Ahmedabad
Ditas is a very big restaurant known for its high-profile opening. It has many celebrity connections and is Mumbai-based. However, there is no confirmed news about its opening in Ahmedabad because neither the brand nor any major source has confirmed it.
But local restaurants and some food-related websites are running rumours about this. Some Instagram influencers have also talked about a new Ditas branch opening in Ahmedabad. As soon as any confirmed news comes, we will update you.
3. Social (Impulsive / Social Offline) – Ahmedabad

4. Natasha D’Cruz’s “La Panthera”
La Panthera is a high-profile modern European restaurant that has one branch in Bandra, Mumbai. Now its second branch may open in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Although the brand has not given any confirmation yet, there may be an official announcement soon.
Here both drinking and eating options are available. You can taste some of the world’s best wines here. This is a premium brand chain attracted to Ahmedabad and GIFT City. 5. Pret A Manger
Pret A Manger is a UK-based international F&B brand that began its expansion in India in 2023. It started with Delhi–Gurugram and later opened a branch in Pune in 2025. Now its focus is on expanding in India’s next metro cities, with Ahmedabad at the top.
Although no official announcement has been made by them, in early 2026 you may hear that their third branch might open in Ahmedabad or GIFT City. Most likely, their new branch could open near Ahmedabad Airport, and discussions are happening internally.
6. The Big Tree Cafe
It is known as The Big Tree Cafe or simply The Tree Cafe. They already have a branch in Bopal, Ahmedabad, which is listed on Zomato. Now, another branch may open at some other location in Ahmedabad or GIFT City.
Its expansion within Ahmedabad’s crowded area is confirmed, but the exact location is not yet final. Very soon, you may hear news of a new branch opening.
7. Itameshi – Ahmedabad (Opening February 2026)
Japan’s famous restaurant Itameshi is set to open by the end of February on Sindhubhavan Road in Ahmedabad. The most special thing about this restaurant is not only its premium menu but also its unique interior design.
The interior here is inspired by Japanese design aesthetics, which gives you a minimal yet immersive atmosphere. Along with this, you will get to taste both Japanese and Italian cuisines. The Itameshi restaurant opening in Ahmedabad will be an 80 to 100 seater. You will get both indoor and outdoor seating options, including a rooftop. There will also be a café section, and a separate space will be provided for private gatherings and social events.
